Posted on the 30 September 2014 by Swoopadmin @SwoopStudios

Nowadays, more and more Independent schools are coming to social media and with good reason too. Social media offers the promise of inbound marketing,  improved search engine optimisation (SEO), branding and the ability to engage with the many constituencies involved in independent schools. (All of these at very little or no cost all).

The problem however, is that once independent schools create their social media accounts, they are never quite sure how to properly use them.

When you have created an account, a good rule for maximising the success of using social media like Twitter for example, is the 75/25 per cent rule. 75% of the content you tweet should indeed be all about your school – Its’ achievements, its’ values, goals, current happenings, news and programs. Below are 35 ways that you can use Twitter as an independent school. Remember, these are just ideas to help you get started with your tweets. It is by no means, a comprehensive or exhaustive list, but it will help you kick start your tweet ideas.
