3 Things To Help When You Have A Bad Day
We've all been there right? That awful day that creeps up and wishes why we ever got out of bed? Your aggravated over something or nothing at all. Your stressed about work. You just feel under this dark cloud and not sure how to get out of it.
Sound familiar? I've been there too friend. In fact, I had one of these terrible rotten days last week and was then frustrated for being frustrated. I didn't want to talk to anyone and literally just sat on the bed in darkness staring out the window. So how to help when you're in that bad mood? What helps get you out of this terrible anxiety stress emotion? I've got 3 things to help!
1. Turn It Off- Your phone. Your computer. All of that social media that you use- just turn it all off. For how long you ask? As long as you need- a half hour, an hour, all day. The worst thing, in my opinion, is to get yourself even more depressed by feeding into it.
2. Vent - When I need a moment, I usually like to be by myself. I either run and take out my frustration or go on a long walk. But honestly, venting out my emotions to someone always helps 100%. The best part about venting out to someone? You feel better and you realize you might actually not be the only one feeling this way. You're not supposed to go through life alone so don't allow yourself to be swallowed up by it. Call your closest friend, family member or significant other and ask them to listen to your frustration.

3. It's Ok - I couldn't say it more plainly. It's ok to cry. It's ok to scream and thrash and just let out your emotions. It isn't good to keep it inside. Personally, I need to do more of this. I hold my bad days in and then it all comes spilling out in one big heap later on. We have our vices to help numb the pain ( hello pints of mint chocolate chip ice cream! ) but keep yourself accountable and know that whatever bad thoughts are occurring, they will pass.
Again, this too will pass. Get a hug from a friend, put on a cozy fire or sink into a hot bath. Blast your favorite angry music and dance around your bedroom if you need too. And above all, figure out what can help you when you have your bad day happen. I bet some of these can help you cope!
