3 Fitness Apps for iOS

Posted on the 31 October 2014 by Anna Peterson

If you don’t belong to a group of people who exercise on a daily basis, then you know that getting back into shape can be pretty difficult. We tell ourselves each day that we’re going to start running or exercising for the sake of our health, but something always gets in the way.

Thankfully, the 21st century brings technology that can help you become more active and aware of what your body needs. Apple’s App Store offers a number of useful apps you can take along with you when you go exercising that will track your progress and give you a boost of support when you need it the most. Here are our three favorite iOS fitness apps.

:)

RunKeeper

RunKeeper App

This app basically turns your iPhone into a personal trainer that helps you track your walks, bike rides, runs, and hikes via the build-in GPS. The app’s UI is really easy to use, and you can also set goals to run a half marathon, lose weight, set a personal record, as well as chart all of your progress.

Nike+ Moves

Nike+ Moves app

This app was designed specifically for the iPhone 5S, and it makes the most out of the phone’s built-in sensor. You earn NikeFuel points through exercise and measure all kinds of activities.

Nike+ Move offers insight into when you move, how you move and where you move – and lets you challenge your friends to see who moves more.

Zombies, Run!

An imaginative app that plays out the horror of a zombie apocalypse through your headphones.

:D
You can hear zombies running after you, their guttural breathing and groans, and if there’s anything that will help you run more, it’s this app.
