Microsoft shipped 2.4 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined in the quarter ended September 30, 2014, the platform holder announced in its earnings report last night.
That's a pretty big jump over the 1.1 million units shipped in the previous quarter, though much of the increase can be attributed to the launch of Xbox One in several new regions, including Japan and China.
Specific figures for Xbox One were not given. It's also been some time since we had an update on Xbox One sales from Microsoft.
