2016, A Year of Travel

By Saicho18

So 2016, for the most part, kinda sucked. I believe we all could agree on that.

Personally, a lot of things happened last year that have made things difficult at work because I was too frakkin’ angry all the time. I can’t claim that I’ve moved on because I honestly don’t think I can do that BUT I can claim that my time spent in the office is just one portion of my life and I think the other parts have been pretty awesome. The travel part, in particular, especially flourished last year mostly because late 2015 I I kinda swore to go to a different place every month of 2016.

I almost succeeded but it took too much toll on me physically and emotionally that I ended up just crashing and hanging out at home last December. It also didn’t help matters that I got way too stressed out about planning the office party (it went well, by the way) so I had very little energy for anything else.

Without further ado, here’s the list of places I’ve been to last year (I kinda cheated a little bit on the March and April, but hey that was a splurge trip). Hopefully I can muster up the energy to write up about these trips and update the links below.

December – no pictures because I literally did nothing but lie around and meet up with friends for the annual get-togethers.

The one destination per month challenge was fun, but very much tiring and financially draining. I can’t say that I recommend it but it’s nice to say that I’ve done it, if you know what I mean. I have no such plans to do a repeat of this challenge anytime soon, especially not this year because I’m planning a big trip for my thirtieth birthday.

If you’ve any local destinations (hopefully road trip destinations from Manila), please post them below J
