"Here's what the Pens had to say about tonight's game against the Anaheim Ducks…
ON ANAHEIM'S SIZE
Bonino: "You have to move the puck quick and make them skate. As big as they are, they can move pretty well. We showed last year that we have speed, but we also can play physical if we have to if we're forced into those types of games. We'll see what they throw at us and we'll try to answer."
Schultz: "They're good at holding onto pucks. You have to be smart, you have to have good sticks, be in position and we should be fine."
ON USING THEIR SPEED
Schultz: "You have to be moving your feet or they're going to make you pay. It's about moving the puck quick, supporting each other and playing the game fast."
Bonino: "I'm playing with two of the fastest guys on the team. I enjoy playing with that speed. Our team likes to move the puck quickly. It's something that's enabled us to have some success."
ON THE ALUMNI IN ATTENDANCE
Schultz: "We all respect those guys big time. For them to come and watch our pre-game skate and be at the game tonight, that'll be a pretty cool experience."
Sullivan: "One of the things I respect about our game is that I think our current players have a lot of respect for players that have come before them, and have paved the way."
ODDS AND ENDS
Kunitz on his 500th game with Pittsburgh: "Anytime you've been in a place as long as I've been you feel very fortunate to be a part such an organization for so many years. There are a lot of great players. Hopefully there are quite a few left."
Bonino on his old Anaheim teammates: "I still talk to a bunch of them. Apparently last night they must have lost my number when they got into town. There's a few that I'm pretty close with and it'll be good to see them."
Sullivan on Crosby update: "Nothing has changed. He skated by himself. 'Sid' finds he gets more out of those types of workouts as opposed to joining the group and being in non-contact situations where he's on the sidelines. He tends to get better workouts when we create those types of environments where he can work on his skills and we can control his heart rate. He had a good workout this morning. We'll see how it goes. Everything to this point has been encouraging. We'll take it each day as it comes.""
