13 Android Apps I Can’t Live Without

Posted on the 29 December 2014 by Nrjperera @nrjperera

I’m a blogger, a web designer, an entrepreneur wannabe and a geek who loves his Android phone more than anything. I’m not a big social media guy, so instead of Tweeting and updating Facebook status every five minutes, I use my phone to boost my productivity and manage my everyday life. I have over 90 apps installed on my phone. I barely use them all, but there are some apps I just can’t live without. Here are the 13 most-used apps on my Android phone.

Any.do

From reminding myself of upcoming meetings and to turn on the TV on time for my favorite TV episode, I use Any.do to schedule important events ahead of time because..well.. I usually forget things very easily.

Feedly

feedly

Whenever I get bored I fire up Feedly to read some of the latest articles from my list of over 100 blog feeds. I also use this app to plan my blog articles ahead.

Pocket

I save up long articles to Pocket when I don’t have time to read. It syncs up across devices so I can resume reading on my phone. I was actually among the top 5% Pocket readers in 2014. That’s how much I love this app.

Moon+ Reader

I’m an avid reader and my Android Phone was the best thing that’s happened to me. My phone is filled with ePubs and .Mobi files and Moon+ has been the best e-Book reader I’ve ever had.

Google Keep

Google Keep

Google Keep is the best app to make quick notes, lists and save voice notes. It’s lightning fast and reliable.

Evernote

When I want to scribble up something important, save an important scan, contact details from clients and planning important blog articles, Evernote is my go-to app to do all at one place.

Hangouts

Whatsapp, Viber, Skype I have them all on my phone, but Hangouts is my favorite when it comes to chat. It’s fast, easy to share files from my phone and it also has voice calling now.

KMPlayer

kmp

I love watching TV shows and movies. I always keep several episodes from a TV show loaded up on my phone. KMPlayer plays almost any type of file and it’s my default player on both desktop and phone.

IMDb

I like checking out whats coming soon and ratings on movies and TV shows before watching them. Whenever I see a movie playing on TV, I check on IMDb for ratings and review before wasting my time with it. Yeah, I’m cool like that.

Dropbox

Everybody hates Dropbox, but not me. To me, it’s the fastest way to sync files between devices and keep my most important docs on the cloud ready at all times. Also comes in handy when you want to store your photos.

IFTTT

ifttt

I don’t use this everyday, but it has been a huge time-saver. From auto-scheduling posts for Facebook to getting notified of important updates, IFTTT made my online life easier than ever.

Link2SD

I install a lot of apps on my phone. And I use Link2SD to manage those apps, because unlike the default app manager, Link2SD gives me a ton of options to mess around like freezing apps and clearing out the entire device cache and much more.

Nova Launcher

Like everyone else, I like to keep my phone looking as awesome as possible. Guys go crazy when they see my customizations. Of all the cool launchers out there, Nova Launcher has been my favorite. I currently use it with ClickUI icon pack.

So, what Android apps do you love the most?
