10+ Reasons I LoveThrifting!!

In Delhi

In India, you must not miss Sarojini Nagar as Shopaholics heaven. To me, more like a second home and I collected a few rasons why I love thrifting.

In this picture, I am wearing thrift clothes. Sandals are from Truffle Collection and Earrings by @alettesshop .

  1. It is affordable. You keep only Rs.1000 handy and you will come back home with more than 5 different stuff.
  2. You get trendy pieces in less. Oh my God! Thrift markets update their collections like a Parisian girl updates her wardrobe in ever season
  3. You don't feel shame in asking for price and then further slashing it down.  Because you think it may not work on you. (I play this trick a lot of time!)
  4. Ugh, she is wearing what I am! You rarely get a chance to bump into somebody wearing the same stuff.
  5. You get a chance to bargain, a lot.
  6. You buy 4 items at price of one in a store.Kind of point no. 1.
  7. It's cool! It is cool to say I am thrift shopping than saying "I am shopping". (Totally lame!)
  8. No nervous breakdown! Your gut doesn't wrench if you find your favorite piece is not on sale because you find the sale for 365 days in a thrift market. (If you still want it for less, start sewing yourself!)
  9. Updating bargaining skills. You learn new techniques of bargaining by bumping into girls of your interest. (Bhaia, main bar-bar nahin bolungi. Main yaha ayi thi kyunki apke yaha samaan aur jagah se achcha hai per itna bhi achcha nahin hai ki itne paise du main! Dete ho ya nahin!!)
  10. No more long queues with clothes hanging on human-hangers aka humans. You save yourself from standing in a queue of trial room. (Ugh! I HATE IT!)
  11. You get to deal with just one person - selling up-selling, bargaining, convincing and making faces at the same time.
  12. No SAs pestering you with the wrong stuff.
  13. Sometimes, you get branded pieces with a minor defect. Hey if you have to change every other month - it doesn't hurt.
Hope you can relate to this post if you are also into thrift shopping and bargainings for clothes as much as I do. If you can be found only around Zara in Mall of India. See ya there girl!! ;-)
