10 Quick Tips About Teaching Kids About Soccer

By Upliftingfam @upliftingfam

I started playing soccer when I was 12 and enjoyed it very much. After high school, I stopped playing because there wasn’t a league or a place for adults to play when I was living in North Carolina. I was ecstatic when I moved back to Fort Worth, in 2005, because that meant that I could get connected with soccer again. I immediately enrolled my son into soccer and he played for several years until his grades started suffering in school.

As a mom, I know how important it is for my kids to get regular exercise and even though my son stopped playing soccer he has always stayed active for the most part. My youngest is three and enjoys playing outside when it isn’t too hot or cold. I am hoping that next week that he can get outside and play so that he can get some exercise and burn off some energy.

If your child isn’t involved in a sport, you should consider enrolling them in soccer or some other type of physical activity. I found that team sports are great because they allow your child to exercise, make new friends, and they are held accountable for their spot on the team.

Check out this great infographic created by Sport 4 Kids, they have outlined 10 Quick Tips About Teaching Kids About Soccer aka Football(in other countries).
