Hello Internet | If you have been following me on twitter (which you should), you would know for the past few weeks there has been a big teen blogger collaboration called the #teenblogseries. Which I literally joined yesterday.
It was created by the ever so talented, Anouska and Beth. A big thank you to them for letting me join so late. A post from the #teenblogseries will be posted every Monday at 6:30 PM for ten weeks . A nice way to brighten up an ever-so lame Monday.

Hello! My name is Laila (Lay-La) // and I am 16 years old. I am currently a junior in HS and I have to say I like so far, but not love. I am taking a few classes that are smaller in number making it a more relaxed environment. Along with lunch and study hall straight in a row makes my day pretty chill. Though I like it, I am excited to move on and graduate in two years. Though, I am really going to miss being a kid ;_;
I can't swim // I never have been bothered by the fact I can't swim. I know the gist of the techniques because I took swim classes at my rec center when I was younger, but I failed the class. Basically, if you are with me and you are drowning, don't ask me to help you because we will both end up dead.
I am in my High School Marching Band // I am a fellow bando, who plays the alto saxophone. I am last chair because I never practice or really memorize my band music. So, don't ask me for lessons;) I really like it because it helped me make more friends and give me a place to belong. It also got me out of my 'I want to be popular' phase from Middle School (dark times).
I have a very 'Go-With-The-Flow' personality // I am very 'stop and smell the roses' type of person and don't like to be rushed into anything. Then again, I do not like to be obsessive over what everyone else is doing, I like to do my own thing. I know people who literally pop out of the womb like 'Okay, first I am going to drink a lot of pediasure to get strong bones, get on the honor roll, attend Harvard....' I don't really know how to explain it, but a person I would hang with is Claire Marshall, Amy Pham, and Jenn Im. If you want a chill person to hang with, hit me up.
I wake up to have coffee // I am a fan of coffee, literally it gives me life when I am dead in the morning. I don't have coffee on a school morning because (A) it is too much work (B) I don't trust myself to walk around school with coffee. During school, coffee can be used as a weapon.
I am not good at anything // As sad as it sounds, it is true! I have not found anything I am good at or passionate about. I spend hours on my blog and it is something I am passionate about, but I don't think I am that good. I think it is ok because I want to find my calling or career after High School, when I am more mature and have my life more in order.
I want to adopt when I am older // Fast-forward thirty years in the future, when I am married (hopefully). I would love to adopt children into my family. There are so many children in the world who don't have a home and think they should have a home.
I am 16 and I do not have a license // I want to get my license, but I am very scared of driving on the road. I need to get my temps and do my classes. My goal is to have my license by senior year, so I can drive in style (lol, what style?).
I love being nice // I acknowledge I am nice to the point I am a complete push-over. If I know you and you need money, I will give it to you because I hate to see people disappointed. Hopefully, I can use this to my advantage in the business world. If you need advice or some help, no matter what it is, I will love to help you.
I love art!! // I am not much of an artist, but I love looking at art. I love anime and nature styled art, so if you make art, SEND IT TO ME!!! I will hang it in my room and tweet it/instagram it ^_^
