With as many as 35 million people trying to quit smoking every year, cigarette addiction is no joke. The majority of people who try to quit relapse within a week. And although most withdrawal symptoms diminish inside a few weeks, cravings can often reappear throughout a person's life, whether they're smoking or not.
Researchers have done tests on animals to learn more about this addiction and how to kick the habit, but some of Earth's creatures have become hooked on smoking themselves, providing a look into what was once thought to be a purely human vice.
